Geographically, the southeastern Anatolia region is the smallest region in Turkey, representing only 9.7% of the total area of the country with an area of 75,000 square kilometers. It is located on the border with Syria and Iraq in southeastern Turkey. It is a very flat and low region, and most of it consists of wide plains and steppes. This region has archaeological sites and ancient cities that exude the scent of history, along with a variety of people, different languages and cultures.
