Built in the name of Mor Behnam and his sister Saroo, and now known as the Kirklar Church, this church takes its name from early Christian mythology and is a building dating from the middle of the sixth century, characterized by contemporary architecture, with the roof supported by arches resting on 12 huge columns facing east And the west, built with smooth cut stones. The church has a historical importance that it acquired through the ages. In this church, the patriarchs and metropolitans resided in the courtyard in rooms whose roofs were built of cut stone, and in 1850 AD a new patriarchal center was built in place of these rooms.
