Information about Latifiye Mosque
The Latifiya Mosque is located in the south of the Jumhuriya region. It was built by Abdul Latif bin Abdullah in 1371 AD, who served during the reign of the Artuqid sultans King Saleh and King Muzaffar, and its minaret was built by the Egyptian ruler Muhammad Zia Tayyar Pasha, and the current minaret was built in 1845 AD by the ruler conductor. The mosque is distinguished by its uniquely designed doors and arches, and the geometric braided decorations and starry decorations draw attention to the arched gate, consisting of three segments, made of two-colored stones.
