Gaziantep is located in southeastern Turkey, in the limestone hills, north of the Syrian city of Aleppo. The city is strategically located, as a result of its proximity to ancient trade routes, and is the sixth largest city in Turkey. This city, whose roots go back more than ten thousand years, reflects the strength of Mesopotamia, due to its vibrant history, in addition to its fame for its unique culinary art. From 180 sweet shops, it produces the best baklava in the world. Gaziantep is also home to the most prominent tourist attractions, such as museums, the most important of which is the Zigma Music Museum. It contains many historical buildings, including the destroyed castle built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I, in addition to mosques, archaeological sites, the cultural center, gardens and parks, and others.
