Gaziantep Archeology Museum is located on Stasion Caddesi Street (Station Road), and is home to a large variety of exhibits, some of which were purchased and others obtained from archaeological excavations. The museum, and a series of display units take museum visitors on a journey through history from the Lower Paleolithic era to the early twentieth century, and this archaeological journey begins on the ground floor of the museum, and ends in chronology through historical periods to relatively recent times, and the walls of the ground floor display periods Gaziantep has different historical and names by which the city has been known over the years.
