Bodrum is a city located on the Bodrum Peninsula, stretching from the southwestern coast of Turkey to the Aegean Sea. The city features two double bays overlooking the Bodrum Castle. This medieval castle was built partly with stone from the mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which was completed in the 4th century BC. The town is also a gateway to nearby beach towns and resorts.
