Information about Museum of Underwater Archaeology
Peter's Castle is an attraction worth seeing, even if you don't have an interest in underwater archeology. The design of the exhibits is clearly organized, and the dazzling artifacts are complemented by multimedia displays. After the entrance, with its huge collection of jars and a blowing workshop that children will find fascinating, you enter the Wreck's Glass Hall, which displays a 16-meter-long ship that sank in 1025 AD. The French Tower is home to another remarkable underwater find - the cargo of a classic Greek ship that sank in the 4th century BC. In the Uluburun Wreck Chamber's Hall and the adjacent vault room were excavated fossils of several shipwrecks from the Bronze Age.
