The North Governorate, or North Lebanon Governorate, is one of Lebanon's governorates and includes six districts, its administrative capital being the city of Tripoli, the second largest Lebanese city. The north is a natural haven and a spirit that makes this region of Lebanon distinct from neighboring countries, as it has the highest peak, “Qornet al-Sawda,” which rises 3,090 meters above sea level. It also has the highest resorts in the Cedars region, as well as the mountains and rugged lands that made Lebanon's geography a distinctive landmark in the entire region.
