Horsh Ehden is a nature reserve in the North Lebanon Governorate, and contains the remains of a particularly diverse and beautiful forest of the Cedars of Lebanon, making the reserve a very important part of the country's cultural and natural heritage. There are many rare and diverse plants, and during a walk in this forest, the visitor may discover an endangered eastern imperial eagle, the Bonelli eagle, the gray wolf, a wild cat, a golden jackal or a red fox. The reserve's beautiful valleys with wild orchids, brightly colored salamanders, mushrooms and other flora and fauna are sure to provide peace and quiet for even the most nervous of visitors.
