Nordland County is located in northern Norway and is considered one of the most beautiful regions in the country, if not in the world. Due to its exposure to many events and changes with the last ice age, its landscape is very diverse. There are picturesque beech forests next to deep fjords, glaciers and the Alps. It is worth noting that most of the region lies above the Arctic Circle, which is why it is blessed with twenty-four hours of sunlight in the summer while the dark winter night sky is painted in a myriad of colors as the magnificent northern lights swirl.
