This village has the strangest name ever, as it is made up of only one Norwegian letter, which is "Å" or "A" in Arabic, and there is a common saying in the Lofoten archipelago that says "All roads lead to E", because it is located at the end of the archipelago and passes through it. Everyone reaches the end. It is a historic village, the first mention of it in historical manuscripts dates back to more than 1,000 years, when the Vikings settled in it and lived in it on the cod fish trade and agriculture. During their wanderings, visitors will find many historical monuments from different eras that passed through the village.
