The Maritime Museum and the Croatian History Museum have been one of the most important meeting places of culture in Rijeka for the past four decades. Through many valuable exhibitions from its own collection or from other Croatian museums, the museum is involved in tracing important events related to the history and culture of Rijeka, Primorje-Gorski Kotar and Croatia, thus revealing small parts of the past that are not sufficiently known.
