Central Croatia represents the center of tourism, commercial and economic activity in the country. The region is considered the historical capital of Croatia, as it is home to various historical and archaeological monuments in the country, such as cathedrals, churches, historical gates, and public squares, in addition to cultural centers, historical museums, art galleries, and theaters. The area is also decorated with colorful historical buildings in various architectural styles. The region also enjoys a picturesque natural environment, with nature reserves, national parks, parks and botanical gardens spread throughout it. It is worth noting that this central region is located between Slavonia to the east, Dalmatia to the south, and the Sea of Venice to the west. It takes the city of Zagreb as its capital.
