The Museum of Arts and Crafts was founded in 1880 on the initiative of the Arts Association, and it was one of the first institutions in Europe at the time. Drawing on the theoretical principles of the Arts and Crafts movement in England and intellectual concepts, this three-story museum was designed with the aim of creating "a collection of models for master craftsmen and artists to revitalize the production of materials of everyday use". This museum houses clocks, woodwork, metal, glass, ceramics, and textiles.
