It is the largest aquarium in the Croatian city of Karlovac, created as part of the European Union project for aquariums and aquariums, co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. The aim of its establishment was to raise the level of awareness and knowledge about biodiversity, types of marine organisms and their ways of living in fresh water. The aquarium displays more than 80 species of marine life, including 52 species of local fish that live in the rivers and lakes of Croatia. This aquarium is distinguished by its unique design, which is inspired by the way the natural riverbed is divided into upper, middle and lower sections.
