The War Museum is located in the heart of the city's urban environment. It is a comprehensive museum of modern Greek history and culture. Housed in a historic building from the early 20th century, it has had an active presence since its first year of operation in 2000. Hosting 9 permanent exhibitions of more than 10,000 historical artifacts, the museum provides visitors with the opportunity to see a vivid representation of modern Greek history. The museum's antiquities include: original manuscripts, maps, paintings, medals, clothing, flags, weapons, and others. Museum staff also offer comprehensive guided tours and help visitors experience and understand the essence of history and its connection to the modern world.
