The Urfa Gate, located to the west of the fortress, was built by the ruler Artoclu Mehmed in 1183-1184 according to the inscription. The door has three entrances. It is said that the entrance on the northern side is connected to the city, the southern entrance is connected to the ancient Assyrian Church of the Virgin Mary, and the northern entrance dates back to the fifth century.
