Tutankhamun's tomb is located in the Valley of the Kings between the tomb of Ramses II and Ramses IV, and is considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. The design of Tutankhamun's tomb is typical of the design of the kings of the eighteenth dynasty. At the entrance to the tomb there is a set of stairs that lead to a short corridor that leads to a group of rooms. The first room is an antechamber where many household items were found for Tutankhamun's journey forever. Outside this room there is an annex, and at the far end there is an opening that leads to the burial chamber. This room is guarded by two statues of the Black Guard and symbolizes the hope of rebirth.
