This mosque is located inside the old city of Sidon in the Dahr El-Mir region, on a high hill overlooking the sea from the west. Which allows the light of the sun to flood the hall, and every conqueror of this city used to transform that Canaanite temple into a temple that complies with his belief, after making the necessary repairs on it, until the building was re-established as a mosque at the end of the Ayyubid era, after the Muslims liberated Sidon from Crusaders.
