Khor Rori is an important archaeological site located between one of the magnificent bays in the Governorate of Dhofar, and was once (about 2,000 years ago) one of the main trading ports for incense in the region. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is located 25 miles east of Salalah, and the site is divided into two parts ; An archaeological exhibition and garden, and you can tour the place around the ruins and watch archaeologists excavate and do archaeological work in the area, and you can visit the open exhibition to see some antiquities dating back to the period between the first century BC to the third century AD, along with some exciting cherry inscriptions.
