Founded in 1545, the Church of São Gonzalo has a very simple exterior, and inside it can be found many notable works such as gilded wood panels, statues and paintings from the 18th century, and tile panels from the 17th and 18th centuries. The 17th century cross attributed to the Spanish School, is a unique example of Portuguese architecture.
