São Domingos Church, located up a hill a few steps from São Gonzalo Church, is a relatively new church built by the Dominican regime in 1725, with its Baroque style and prominent decoration and interior courtyards decorated with an array of gilded wood carvings and multicolored wooden images of Christ, Mary Magdalene and John The Evangelist, and this church also contains a museum dedicated to displaying sacred art with vestments, ceremonial items, painting and decorative arts.
