The San Francisco Pinacoteca Museum was opened in San Marino in 1966. It is located in an architectural complex founded in 1361 and attached to the church of the same name and adjacent to the Convent of the Franciscans. Until now, its outer walls still retain their original features, while the interior displays works from the 16th century Guercino, Gerolamo Marchesi da Cotignola and Nicolò Liberatore under the portico of the old Franciscan monastery, dating from 1400.
