The Longteng Bridge located in Taichung City, is one of the most famous attractions on the old mountain line in the city. Its construction was completed in 1906 AD during the Japanese colonial period, followed by the Great Earthquake in 1935 AD, which caused severe damage to the bridge, which left sidewalks and some Remains beyond repair, and later, a new iron bridge was constructed 60 meters from the old bridge. The Longteng Bridge is distinguished by its architectural design, with a height of about 50 meters and a length of about 200 meters across the Yuingling River, as it was the highest iron bridge in Taiwan.
