The Old Mountain Line train station is located at the highest point of the Taichung West Railway, 402 meters above sea level. The train station was built entirely of wood in the Japanese style during the colonial period, and many artifacts from the Japanese occupation period can still be seen here, such as old train signals. Despite the constant movement of trains in the station, the station still represents a tourist attraction and nostalgia, as it is a popular location for wedding photos, and visitors come to walk in the deserted tunnel, and the area turned into a new destination for cross-country cycling, and in 1999 AD, The Miaoli County Government has designated Shengxing Station as a county-level historic site.
