Pretoria Gate is the eastern gate to the city of Aosta. It is a Roman stone gate built in 25 BC. The gate still retains its shape, as the eastern facade still contains some marble panels. The gate consists of three openings: the central opening for vehicles, and the side openings for pedestrians. The gate is located in a central square in Aosta, which tourists flock to, as it includes many monuments surrounding the gate such as statues and memorials, as well as many double arches.
