Information about Niccoline Chapel
The Nicholas Chapel (Cappella Nicolina) is a small chapel in the Vatican Palace, notable in particular for its frescoes by Fra Angelico and his assistants, and its name derives from its patron Pope Nicholas V, who built it for use as his chapel. This frescoed church is the only surviving of the four that Fra Angelico completed during the half-decade of intense activity of the papal service in Rome from 1445 to 1449.
