Information about Museum of Occupational Medicine
The Museum of Occupational Medicine in Hidalgo is an interesting symbol in the medical field and a way to learn about the history of the town, as this place was originally a hospital built in 1907 to take care of miners, most of whom suffered from work accidents or who suffered from illness Miner: Silicosis, a respiratory disease caused by inhaling silica dust from mines. The hospital was then turned into a museum consisting of a pharmacy, recovery area, emergency unit, operating room and rehabilitation room. This museum is part of the work of the Civic Society, which saves and promotes inherited historical and cultural heritage, and is currently the only museum of its kind in Mexico.
