The Acosta mine started its work in 1727 AD in the state of Hidalgo and maintained its productive activity until 1985 AD, and today it has become an important museum through which one can learn the history of the art of mining and the aspects related to these works. On the site there are monuments and architectural installations that testify to the historical stages of the age of mining: the colony, immigration, and English investment in the region starting with the age of steam and the arrival of electricity with North American investors.
