The Diocesan Museum is an art museum in Amalfi located in the Church of the Cross in Amalfi and is the original cathedral church, whose origins date back to 596. In 1100, a new cathedral was built next to it and together they formed a single Romanesque church with six aisles. Later, in the Baroque period, they were covered with marble and stucco and were restored as two separate and distinct churches. This museum displays the treasures of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Amalfi's Cava dei Tirreni.
