The Monastery of Paradise in Amalfi is a true architectural masterpiece. It combines European and Moorish architecture styles in one building, surrounded by a spacious garden decorated with palm trees and colorful flowers, as well as artifacts distributed throughout. The monastery garden is likened to paradise due to its charming green nature. With regard to the history of the monastery only, it was built in the thirteenth century between 1266 and 1268, and the monastery gains its fame as it contains the relics of the body of Saint Andrew, who was crucified in Patras, Greece and his body was transported to Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade, then his body was brought to Amalfi year 1208.
