Throughout human history, people have been in constant resistance to forgetting. This sensitivity to forgetting has created all kinds of art writing, libraries, archives and museums. Therefore, museums that collect, research and protect the cultural heritage of a community are a role model for Turkish museology as one of the fundamental institutions that must exist in any contemporary society today. The Mardin Museum, unlike the identity of museums as "the place where historical artifacts are preserved and displayed", includes the individual, family, school and society, within the scope of activity, and provides education for children, the elderly and people of determination, and today it is one of the city's most important museums.
