The Jordanian Museum of Folk Traditions was established in 1971. The museum is located within the eastern part of the Roman Theater in Amman. The museum aims to collect Jordanian and Palestinian folklore from all over Jordan with the aim of protecting this heritage, preserving it and presenting it to future generations. The third hall contains a group of Palestinian costumes and dresses, the fourth displays a set of pottery and wooden cooking utensils, and the fifth hall, which is in the basement of the Roman theater, includes a mosaic of Byzantine churches from Jerash and Madaba.
