The Ibrahim River originates from the Afqa cave and from the Aqoura spring, and descends steeply until it drains into the Mediterranean Sea, 6 kilometers south of Byblos, with a length of 30 kilometers and a basin area of approximately 321 square kilometers. The river extends along many Lebanese regions and cities and feeds them, and hoards very important antiquities from its source to its mouth. With its environmental wealth along its path that cuts through the valley separating the countries of Byblos and Kesrouan.
