The Gu Priest Regional Museum of Art branch was established in 2000 and opened to visitors in 2002 in the southern barracks of Brest Castle. The exhibition covers the period of existence of the Brest Regional Organization of the Union of Belarusian Artists, and allows to trace several trends in the development of visual arts in the Brest region in the second half of the twentieth century. The museum displays folk arts and crafts such as weaving, embroidery, pottery, straw and wicker weaving, wood and glass painting, and artistic carpentry.
