The Diocesan Museum of Padua was founded in 2000 in the seat of the bishop which was erected in the 15th century, but has a foundation dating back to the beginning of the 14th century. The building can be found, near the cathedral in Piazza del Duomo, in the historical center of the city. Museum works are from the cathedral and from other parish churches, dating from the ninth to the nineteenth centuries. These works can be found on two separate floors where they are arranged chronologically and by genre.
