Selcuk Castle, known locally as Ayasuluk Castle, is located on a hill in the town of Selcuk in the province of Izmir in Turkey, just one mile from the site of the ancient Greek city of Ephesus. With a monumental construction, including fortified stone facades and colossal columns, the castle building includes a chapel, a religious temple, as well as training bastions for soldiers.
