The Bursa Ataturk Monument is a monument commissioned by the Bursa Governor's office to the sculptor Nijat Sirel and erected in Bursa Government Square in 1931 AD, and has become one of the distinctive landmarks of the city. The monument statue consists of a lighted marble base and a bronze statue of Ataturk, which depicts Ataturk as a victorious leader, dressed as a soldier on a horse. The monument was inaugurated during the celebrations of the eighth anniversary of the republic.
