Mosul, or the Humpbacked City, is one of the most important and largest Iraqi cities after the capital Baghdad, and it is the center of Nineveh Governorate in northern Iraq. Mosul was known by this name in relation to its geographical location, which is located at the crossroads of several roads linking the east with the west, as an important commercial and political link for Iraq. Mosul has a distinctive weather, and the Arabs called it the Mother of Spring, in the past, because the autumn season in it is spring, characterized by the purity of its air and breeze, and the green color that covers all the heights and plains of the city.
