The origins of the two-storey Zawiya Sidi al-Ghariani dates back to the 14th century AD. It is a mosque initially built as a madrasa by a Cyrene scholar called al-Jadidi. It has painted black and white arches, marble columns with carved capitals, a Moorish-style ceiling, wood carvings and other features of its own. Beautiful Islamic character.
