Victory Park is located in the city of Minsk, or as it is often called the "Victoria" public park. The history of the park began when Komsomolskoye Lake was created by the impediment of the Sveslokh River. It was planned to open the park in 1941, to improve the surrounding areas. In 1945, when war broke out on the dam, the waters of Komsomolskoye Lake were restored. In compliance with it the park was again designed, and was immediately called "Victory", to glorify the victory of the Soviet army over the Nazi invaders. There are colorful fountains in the garden, each of which has a distinct name with a historical meaning.
