The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War was the first museum in the world to tell the story of the bloodiest war of the twentieth century, and the only museum in Belarus that was established during the Nazi occupation years. Today, the museum is one of the most important, largest, most modern and advanced war museums in the world. The museum is distinguished by its architecture that impresses with its scale and symbolism, where monuments and modern technology are harmoniously combined, non-standard spatial and architectural techniques and imaginative solutions create the feeling of the greatest tragedy while immersing the visitor in an atmosphere of courage and achievement.
