Khan al-Wazir is located near the northeastern corner of the Great Mosque. It was built in 1724 by the Grand Vizier Damad Ibrahim Pasha al-Nawshahri. This khan is a building made of cut stone. It consists of two floors and two courtyards, and there is a fountain in the middle. Today 12 of 154 actively private workplaces around the central courtyard, where many high quality local products such as jewellery, textiles, fabrics and more are sold.
