Information about Trinity College - Cambridge
Trinity College was founded in 1546 by Henry VIII, and was created by merging several old colleges, including Michaelhouse and King's Hall. Outside the King Edward Gate (1418), parts of the old King's Hall buildings are still identifiable. The Great Trinity Court is Cambridge's largest, and was established around 1600. A driveway leads to Neville Street (1614), with its chapel and statues of eminent scholars. The Wren Library, with its old oak bookcases and fine lime carvings, was added later.
