Tiantan Tiangong Temple, or as it is called the Temple of Heaven, was built in 1854 AD, and according to legend, it was founded in honor of King Koxinga. The temple's modern exterior appears due to its frequent reconstruction and transformation, but the interior of the temple still retains many of its precious cultural relics. Ancient stone carvings of auspicious Chinese characters date back to the left and right walls inside the temple, as well as a pair of granite-wrapped dragon columns inside the hall. The palace, the temple also features many paintings dating back several decades, and pilgrims come annually to this temple to perform some religious rituals.
