During the Japanese colonization of Taiwan, urban planning and road construction tended to have a circular design. Tang Tichang Memorial Park also has a circular design, and it was called Min Sheng Green Park. Later, it was renamed Tang Te Chang Memorial Park in relation to a funeral held in the park during the incident of February 28, 1947 AD, and there is now a bronze statue of the upper body of Tang. The area around the park has the highest density of historical sites in the city and is the most important for tourists.
