Tirumalai Nyakar Palace dates back to the seventeenth century, and it is one of the archaeological monuments that have survived and witness to the history of the Indian city of Madurai, which was built as a home for the king by one of the most skilled architects, near the famous Meenakshi Amman temple. The palace abounds with magnificent majestic architectural formations inspired by the arts of Islamic architecture, which are evident in the domes, arches and geometric decorations, and the most characteristic of the palace is its high brick and mud roof, which is not based on any columns. The palace includes a historical and engineering museum, to which tourists come from all over the world.
