Meenakshi Amman Temple is still distinguished by its unique architectural design, which contains four majestic towers, there are five towers above the holy sanctuary of the Lord, three on top of the sanctuary of the goddess and two golden towers, all of which are exquisitely designed and carved. Among these distinctive towers, the South Tower, which was built in 1559 AD, is the tallest tower in the temple, with a height of 160.9 feet, and includes statues and sculptures of famous personalities that include more than 1511 personalities. It is the distinctive imprint of the temple, so that visitors can watch it from afar.
