Information about Alamiriah School
The Amiri School or the House of Culture or the First Hofuf School is one of the oldest public schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was established in the Al-Ahsa region on a large area around 1200m. It was inaugurated on the 11th of Muharram 1360 AH under the patronage of the Prince of Al-Ahsa Prince Saud bin Jalawi, and it was initially established as an elementary school, then the building was later joined to the two stages: intermediate and secondary. The first class of 70 students graduated from the school in the year 1362 AH. King Abdulaziz Al Saud visited it in the year 1931 AD and was impressed by it, so his son Prince Faisal ordered the opening of the school, so that the school became the starting point for education in the Eastern Province. Today, the school has become the headquarters of the branch of the Saudi Society for Urban Sciences in Al-Ahsa. It was rehabilitated as the headquarters of the Association and a cultural center in Hofuf to also include a museum, history of education, an events exhibition space, a hall, a training center and a women's section.
