Information about The Dar es Salaam Centre for Architectural Heritage (DARCH)
The Dar es Salaam Architectural Heritage Center (DARCH) is a non-profit corporation that aims to salvage and enhance the historic architecture of Dar es Salaam and the broader East African context through research, documentation, education, professional training, and newer public community and cultural outreach. The museum is located in the newly renovated Old Boma building, which is the oldest building in the city. The beautiful details of the building reflect the history of the development of architecture and show the influences left by some peoples on the civilization of this city, and this is what makes the museum so interesting.
